The fixing of the fixing portion of the clamping part of the clamping ring can take place in several ways in order to guarantee that the clamping of the surface coating material becomes reliable and optimal, e.g. by means of a locking portion of said fixing portion and a cooperating locking portion of the seat in the drain or by means of fixing means, e.g. screws. The fixing portion of the clamping part of the clamping ring can also be locked in the fixing position in several different ways in order to keep the pressure application portion clamped against the coating material with great certainty. Particularly in embodiments of existing drains, the locking part is designed to be fitted in the seat in the drain radially inside the fixing part of the clamping part in order to abut against the fixing part after application and to press the fixing part radially outwards against the seat for locking said fixing part to the drain. Alternatively, especially in new drains, the locking part is already designed or arranged in the seat in the drain so that when fitting the clamping part of the clamping part in the seat, the fixing part of the locking part is pressed radially outwards towards the seat for locking said fixing part against the drain. Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art upon consideration of the accompanying drawings and the following detailed description of preferred embodiments. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 illustrates with a schematic exploded view a first embodiment of a clamping ring according to the present invention for primarily an existing floor drain. Fig. 3 illustrates with a schematic cut side view the clamping part and locking part of the clamping ring according to Fig. 1 after the application of the clamping part and the locking part in the floor drain. Fig. 4 illustrates with a schematic exploded view a second embodiment of a clamping ring according to the present invention, in particular for a new floor drain. Fig. 5 illustrates with a schematic cut side view the clamping ring according to Fig. 4 after the sealing layer but before the clamping part of the clamping ring has been applied in the floor drain. Fig. 6 illustrates with a schematic cut side view the clamping part of the clamping ring according to Fig. 4 while the clamping part is applied in the floor drain. Fig. 7 illustrates with a schematic cut-away side view in magnification the clamping part and locking part of the clamping ring according to Fig. 4 after the clamping part has been applied in the floor drain. Detailed Description of Preferred Embodiments of the Invention The present invention relates to a clamping ring 1 for clamping a coating material 2, e.g. a floor covering material, against a mounting flange 3 on a drain 4, e.g. a floor drain. The clamping ring 1 is primarily intended for use with tile floors and then for clamping a surface coating material in the form of a sealing layer 2 against the mounting flange 3 on a floor drain 4. This is also apparent from the drawing figures. With reference thus to the drawing figures, the clamping ring 1 comprises a clamping part 5. The clamping part 5 has a pressure application portion 6 and a fixing portion 7. According to the invention, the pressure application portion 6 is designed to be applied on top of the sealing layer 2 when mounting the clamping part 5 in the floor drain 4 in order to generate a substantially downwardly directed clamping pressure against the sealing layer. The sealing layer 2, which runs on top of the mounting flange 3 on the floor drain 4 and substantially covers it, is clamped by the clamping pressure against the mounting flange when the fixing portion 7 is fixed in a seat 8 for the fixing portion in the floor drain 4. The clamping pressure generated by the pressure application 6 2 and against the mounting flange 3 is by this design optimally evenly distributed around the entire floor drain 4 and effective clamping and sealing is achieved without damaging the sealing layer or otherwise being exposed to negative effects (see eg fig. 3). The pressure application portion 6 and fixing portion 7 of the clamping part 5 can be designed as separate parts which are connected to each other in a suitable manner, but are in one embodiment shown in the drawing figures formed in one piece with each other. In the embodiment according to Figs. 1-3, the fixing portion 7 has at least one first locking portion 9 and at least one second locking portion 10. In the embodiment according to Figs. 4-7, the fixing portion 7 has only one locking portion 9. Said first locking portion 9 on the fixing portion 7 is brought in the embodiment according to Figs. 1-3 cooperate with at least one locking portion 11 of the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 when the fixing portion is fitted in the seat. Hereby the fixing portion 7 is fixed in the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 and as a result the sealing layer 2 is thus clamped against the mounting flange 3 on the floor drain 4. Said first locking portion of the fixing portion 7 is in the embodiment according to Figs. 1-3, as is the locking portion in the embodiment according to fig. 4-7, formed as a snap portion 9 which is pressed together by parts 20 of the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 in radial direction (Fig. 2 and Fig. 6, respectively) when the fixing portion is fitted in the seat 8 and which after application snaps back in radial direction ( Fig. 3 and Fig. 7, respectively) for co-operation with the locking portion 11 of the seat. This snap function means that the clamping ring 1 clamped! 5 is easy to apply in the floor drain 4. As an alternative to said locking portions 9 and 11 of the fixing portion 7 resp. the seat 8, for the fixing of the fixing portion 7 in the seat 8 in the floor drain 4, fixing means in the form of e.g. screws (not shown) come into play. As previously indicated, when the fixing portion 7 of the clamping part 5 of the clamping ring 1 is fixed in the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 by means of in particular reading portions 9, 11 of the above-described embodiment, there is a need to lock the fixing portion in the fixing position in the seat to further secure the clamping of the sealing layer 2 against the mounting flange 3 of the floor drain 4. The clamping ring 1 according to the present invention may for this purpose in addition to the clamping part 5 also comprise a locking part 12. Especially in the case of designs for existing drains, such as in the embodiment according to Figs. 1-3, the locking part 12 is designed to be fitted in the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 radially inside the fixing part 7 of the clamping part 5 to abut and press the fixing part radially outwards against the seat for locking said fixing part against the floor drain (see fig. 3). The locking part 12, which thus consists of a separate annular part which can subsequently be fitted in existing drains, is in the embodiment shown compressible radial direction against the action of a resilient force which is intended to widen the said after fitting it in the seat 8 in the floor drain 4. locking part in radial direction until it abuts against the fixing portion 7 of the clamping part 5 and presses the fixing portion against the seat for locking said fixing portion against the floor drain. The locking part 12 can in this case consist of e.g. a suitable resilient material which after the compression of said locking part in radial direction strives to expand for abutment against the fixing part 7 of the clamping part 5 and for pressing the fixing part against the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 for fixing said fixing part of the clamping part against the floor drain. In order to facilitate the locking of the fixing portion 7 in the fixing position against the seat 8 in the floor drain 4, the locking part 12 in the shown embodiment has at least one locking portion 13 which, when fitting the locking part in the seat in the floor drain, cooperates with the at least one second locking portion 10 of the fixing portion 7. the locking portion of the locking part 12 is advantageously formed as a snap portion 13 which is compressed by parts 15 of the fixing portion 7 of the clamping part 5 of the clamping ring 1 during the fitting of the locking part in the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 and which after snapping snaps back in radial direction for cooperation with it formed as a snap portion 10 the second locking portion of said fixing portion. This also facilitates the installation of the locking part 12 of the clamping ring 1 in the floor drain 4. As an alternative to the reading section 12 described above, especially with new drains such as in the embodiment according to Figs. 4-7, at least one locking part 12 is already formed or arranged in the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 so that when fitting the fixing part 7 of the clamping part 5 in the seat, the fixing part of the locking part is pressed radially outwards against the seat for locking said fixing portion against the drain (Figs. 6 and 7). The locking part 12 can run around the entire seat 8 or, if several locking parts are arranged suitably evenly distributed around the seat in order to achieve the desired reading function, extend along a part of the seat. The locking part 12 can be a separate part which is arranged in the seat 8 during the manufacture of the drain 4 or, as in the embodiment shown, be formed in one piece with the floor drain. In the embodiment shown, the locking part 12 is further formed or arranged in the seat 8 in the floor drain 4 so that the locking part with a portion 16 of the seat delimits a space 17 for the fixing portion 7 of the clamping part 5 of the clamping ring 1 against said space 1 facing side 18 is at least partially bevelled (at 19) to facilitate the insertion of the fixing portion 7 into the space. The clamping ring 1 according to the invention can be made of plastic and / or metal and / or of any other suitable material or combination of materials. It is obvious to the person skilled in the art that in addition to the possible alternative embodiments described above, the clamping ring according to the present invention can be modified and changed within the scope of the appended claims without departing from the idea and purpose of the invention. The clamping ring can thus be used for existing and new drains than floor drains and for surface covering materials other than floor covering materials such as e.g. waterproofing for tile floors. The clamping part of the clamping ring resp. locking part can be designed in any suitable way as long as its intended function is achieved. The locking part can e.g. is designed in a manner other than a resilient material to allow compression thereof upon application to the seat in the drain and expansion after application. For example, the locking part may consist of interconnected, but with biasing spaced apart locking part sections which are brought together towards each other during application so that the diameter of the locking part decreases and which after application returns to its original shape. Likewise, the pressure application pair of the clamping part resp. fixing portion is designed in each suitable manner to achieve its intended function. The locking portions of the clamping portion of the clamping part resp. of the seat in the drain can be designed in other ways than as snap portions.

Claims (18) [1] Clamping ring (1) for clamping a surface coating material (2), e.g. a floor covering material, against a mounting flange (3) on a drain (4), e.g. a floor drain, the clamping ring comprising a clamping part (5) having a pressure application portion (6) and a fixing portion (7), where when mounting the clamping part (5) in the drain (4), the pressure application portion (6) is designed to be applied on top and generate a substantially downward clamping pressure against the coating material (2) for clamping it against the mounting flange (3) on the drain (4) when the fixing portion (7) is fixed in a seat (8) therefor in the drain (4). [2] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 1, wherein the pressure application portion (6) and fixing portion (7) of the clamping part (5) are formed in one piece with each other. [3] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the fixing portion (7) of the clamping part (5) of the clamping ring (1) has at least one first locking portion (9) which when fitting said fixing portion (7) in the seat (8) in the drain (4) is brought into co-operation with at least one locking portion (11) of the seat (8) for clamping the coating material (2) against the mounting flange (3) on the drain (4). [4] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 3, wherein said first locking portion of the fixing portion (7) of the clamping part (5) of the clamping ring (1) is formed as a snap portion (9) which is compressed by parts (20) of the seat (8) in radial direction during the application of said fixing portion (7) in the seat (8) and which after application snaps back in radial direction for co-operation with the locking portion (11) of the seat (8) in the drain (4). [5] Clamping ring (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the clamping ring (1) further comprises a locking part (12) which locks the fixing portion (7) of the clamping part (5) in its fixing position in the seat (8) in the drain (4). [6] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 5, wherein the locking part (12) is designed to be fitted in the seat (8) in the drain (4) radially inside the fixing part (7) of the clamping part (5) for abutting and pressing the fixing part after application. (7) radially outwards towards the seat (8) for locking said fixing portion (7) towards the drain (4). [10] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 9, wherein the locking portion of the locking part (12) of the clamping ring (1) is formed as a snap portion (13) which is pressed by parts (15) of the fixing portion (7) of the clamping part (5) of the clamping ring (1) together in radial direction during the application of the locking part (12) in the seat (8) in the drain (4) and which after application snaps back in radial direction for cooperation with the second locking portion of said fixing portion (7) formed as a snap portion (10). [11] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the fixing portion (7) of the clamping part (5) of the clamping ring (1) has at least one reading portion (9) which when fitting said fixing portion (7) in the seat (8) in the drain ( 4) is brought into cooperation with at least one locking portion (11) of the seat (8) for clamping the coating material (2) against the mounting flange (3) on the drain (4). [12] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 11, wherein the locking portion of the fixing portion (7) of the clamping part (5) of the clamping ring (1) is formed as a snap portion (9) which is pressed together by parts (20) of the seat (8) in radial direction during the application of said mounting portion (7) in the seat (8) and which after application snaps back in the radial direction for co-operation with the locking portion (11) of the seat (8) in the drain (4). [13] Clamping ring (1) according to any one of claims 1, 2, 11 or 12, wherein the clamping ring (1) further comprises at least one locking part (12) which locks the fixing part (7) of the clamping part (5) in its fixing position in the seat (8) in the drain (4). [14] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 13, wherein the locking part (12) is formed or arranged in the seat (8) in the drain (4) so that when fitting the fixing part (7) of the clamping part (5) in the seat (8), the fixing part is pressed (7) of the locking part (12) radially outwards towards the seat (8) for locking said fixing portion (7) against the drain (4). [15] Clamping ring (1) according to claim 14, wherein the locking part (12) of the clamping ring (1) is formed in one piece with the drain (4). [16] Clamping ring (1) according to any one of claims 14 or 15, wherein the locking part (12) of the clamping ring (1) is formed or arranged in the seat (8) in the drain (4) so that the locking part (12) with a portion (16) of the seat (8) delimits a space (17) for the fixing portion (7) of the clamping part (5) of the clamping ring (1).
